PADI Open Water Diver
This course introduces the student to scuba through academic, confined water, and open water training. During these training sessions, the student learns how to assemble, operate, and break down scuba systems. The student also learns basic scuba skills such as mask and regulator clearing, emergency air management, and dive planning. Successful completion of this course results in the PADI Open Water Diver certification, enabling the diver to participate in many supervised and unsupervised dive activities.
Aquatic Adventures, Inc. requests that the student pick up the course materials in person, to enable our staff to go over the material in detail, as well as to have the student fitted with their gear for the course.
Prerequisites: 10 years of age; swimming proficiency (200 yard swim, 10 minute tread)
Location: Aquatic Adventures, Inc. and local pool.
Course cost: $309 ($359 for students age 10-11) -includes books, use of a rental DVD, equipment rental, and certification fees. Students must supply mask, fins, snorkel, and boots. (Discounts available with all equipment purchases from AAI made during training.)
Note: This course includes the Open Water Certification dives. If you are planning to complete the certification dives elsewhere, perhaps on a tropical vacation, and need only the classroom/pool training at this time, sign up for the Open Water Diver Referral course.
